1. What is MaxPOS?

MaxPOS is a complete EPOS system consisting of software and hardware components developed by Maxem Limited and its exclusive hardware manufacturer. That is, MaxPOS includes everything you need in an EPOS system to run your business.

On the software side, there are modules for sales, inventory control, customer account management, staff maintenance, tax calculation and report generation. On the hardware side, MaxPOS includes all the peripherals (e.g., screens, keyboards, customer display poles, scaling machines, barcode scanners, etc.)

2. What are the key features of MaxPOS?

The key features of MaxPOS are functionality, versatility, stability, flexibility, ease of use, upgradability and inexpensiveness.

Unlike the EPOS systems from many other companies, MaxPOS software is designed as a 32-bit system (specifically for Windows 95, 98, NT and the latest Windows 2000) from the ground-up. This means that MaxPOS offers tremendously stability compared with other EPOS systems that were ported from the old DOS and Windows 3.1 platforms.

With its latest Version 3.0, MaxPOS has gone through many cycles of critical evaluation by our numerous customers and we have incorporated their suggestions to include many features that are not found in other EPOS systems. The functionality of MaxPOS is incomparable.

The selection of the software and hardware combination for an EPOS system for your business is a complex task. We work closely with our customers in making the right choice for them and all the systems we sell our customers are individually customized for them.

That is, we do not try to sell canned solutions. Because of this, it is impossible to publish a price.

As mentioned earlier, we designed and developed our MaxPOS software. The hardware is specially made for us by our hardware manufacturer. That is, we do not pay any licensing fees for our software and there is no middleman for the hardware. We interact directly with the customer and with the hardware manufacturer eliminating all unnecessary overheads to keep the prices down.

7. Is MaxPOS available without hardware (i.e., only the software)?

8. Is MaxPOS Euro-ready? Does it support multiple currencies?

Yes. MaxPOS is Euro-ready and it allows you to use Pound or Euro as your default currency.

In addition, MaxPOS allows you to use an unlimited number of currencies (e.g., Euro, dollar, Franc, etc.), each with its own exchange rate, at the same time. That is, MaxPOS is multicurrency-ready. It means that your retail outlet can accept any currency (and convert it to the default Pound or Euro) in its transactions.
